The Amal Network
Local roots. Shared experience. Cooperation across borders.
AİYD is part of the Amal Network, a transnational ecosystem of locally rooted organizations operating across Italy, Türkiye and Syria to support communities affected by displacement, migration, conflict, educational exclusion and social inequality.
The network was initiated by Amal for Education APS, founded in Rome in 2014. Today it connects three legal entities that share values, long-term partnerships and locally grounded methodologies, while each responds to the realities of its own context.
Italy — Amal for Education APS
Programme development, research, international cooperation and transnational partnerships.
Türkiye — Amal İnsani Yardım Derneği (AİYD)
Humanitarian response, community programming and regional cooperation, from Gaziantep and Kilis.
Syria — Josoor Al Amal
Local implementation and community-based recovery in North-West Syria.
The connection between the three countries reflects the lived realities of the communities we work with: migration, displacement and educational disruption do not stop at national borders, and meaningful responses require cooperation between organizations working at different stages of the journey.
